But really -- "Copyright 1996-2010"? There is no record of this company's existence outside of Craigslist, and no human or physical address information about the company -- typical of all his dozens of "company" web sites over the years. Let's see how long until the phone number changes and the site is down ... tick, tock, tick, tock.

ReplyDeleteAlso, in retaliation for a warning being posted on Craigslist against him, William posted a bogus warning, "KENTROPOLIS FRAUD!" in Buffalo's Craigslist, posing as a flower shop that went out of business. The ad was removed shortly thereafter.
i am currentling being jerked around by william "liam" franklin. i found him off craigslist, (stupid me) and he told me it would take 2 days to fix my ipod touch he would do it for $60. a driver with the license plate number 331 ksc KY plates came and picked up my ipod. he left me with an invoice with the address 509 east 10th newport on it. well a week goes by and i never heard anything. i went on vacation so another week goes by. in this time i did have contact with "Liam" and he was not very nice,\ i get home from vacation and he says he gave it to his driver to bring it back to me. a couple days go by and i can only gain contact with liam through textingp so i show up to his house, after knockin for a looong time i left a note at his door requesting he contact me . i walked off but stopped just short of hearing distance from his door, his wife was peekin out the door window, i beckoned for her to talk to me and she did, she confirmed that the ipod repair man was her husband but he wasnt home, i asked her to please give him the note and that my son really wanted his ipod back. he called that night and he said that i was crazy because i said i think i should call the police but that i would get it when his driver got to me that there were tons of deliverys before me.. i threw a fit but wat could i do? so i waited, days go by i called him several times and texted him, he called me and we got in a screaming fit. he texted me the next day and asked if i really had the license plate number of his driver, then he called me and said he has been gettting complaints about his driver not delivering merchandise. i thought he was a big fat liar but he assured me if i waited till monday he would bring me a tracking number from the insurance company that would be replacing my ipod. monday came and went and he would text me and say he never heard from the insurance company but woulld let me know asap. well i texted him this morning and asked wat was goin on, he said he would bring the insurance proof to my house at 8 pm. i texted him at 7 pm and he didnt reply so i left my boyfriend here to wait just in case "Liam" showed up and i went to liams house, he moved out , you could jus tell it was empty... it was very recent though, because his house key was in the mailbox.. i found out his real name from picking through his open garbage cans .. he had past bills with his name and such thats how i found out his wifes name is tiffany ( btw she was the one who called to tell me that my ipod made it to thier "shop" after the driver picked it up). i have some other numbers i lifted off these papers ........ after finding your website i texted "liam" and toldd him he had quite a folllowing online and he was big time, he replied he didnt care wat the internet said about him i would recieve my ipod this week and to text him when i got it (yeah right) the number that he is using now it 513 235 3606 if you want to know any other details please feel free to contact me.....

DeleteOh good, seems i am not the only one who has gotten screwed by this guy. I purchased a laptop from him last year from Craigslist. There was no power cord, i purchased it regardless, it was a deal. I bought a power cord and found that it had a bogus OS on it and that the ac jack was flaky. I called him about it, he offered to resauder the jack. his "driver" picked it up on 1/19 and that's the last i have seen it. Here is the email he was using: william@21inc.us

Oh don't worry your not alone there are a lot of us that have been scammed by this guy! I was his employee that he failed to pay $1600, now my electric has been shut off, I'm being kicked out of my apt, and my daughters bday is this saturday and I can't even get her a cake! This man has officially ruined my life! I moved to Cincinnati from Washington state less than 4 months ago and this is how I am greeted! Welcome to Ohio!

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear so many others have been scammed by this clown. @Candy: exact same stories with me and my iPhone 3G (and my $125 repair fee). I too was sent to 509 E 10th St, Newport. After MONTHS of texting, calling, and even hiring an attorney I realized that the way he operates makes it just not worth the money pursuing through the court system--and he knows that and thats why he's been able to do this for years. I hope that one day the law catches up with him. Ken, thanks for keeping this site up.
ReplyDeleteI was also his employee. I was his personal assistant. so he routed all of his calls to me even the ones where he has stolen lots of peoples phones. But I was not aware that he had honestly stole them. He owes me 5000 dollars plus my iphone he was supposed to have fixed for me. It doesn't make sense that he can honestly opperate like this. You would think that with all of these people he has stolen from that the police would honestly do SOMETHING about it. Will even went to far as to try and get my gf to quit her other job to work for him FULL TIME. Thank god she didn't. And thank you for going through his trash. Someone needs to come and take this guys son away from him. He doesn't deserve his life.
